Tranco Farms Garden
Tranco Farms Garden was established in early 2015 by a father-daughter team, Chris and Erin. Their shared passion for working outside caring for and raising animals, and farming sustainably brought this duo together. What was once their “imaginary garden,” is now bursting with beautiful plants and delicious vegetables. They are very excited to keep growing and raising quality food for the community and hope to see you at the Clarke County Farmers Market this season.
Tranco Farms Garden is situated in the rolling hills of Clarke County in Berryville, VA. The 120 acre site is home to the one acre garden, landscaping trees, wheat,and corn. The rest is left to native plants. Their focus is on sustainability and the health of their land. They have high standards and are now certified organic.
The Clarke County Farmers Market opens this Saturday May 6. It will continue every week until the end of October. The market hours are from 8 am until noon. There will be a full selection of vendors on hand every week, not to mention the incredible musicians that will be attending. Hot food will also be present at the market this season after being absent for a number of years. This will certainly be one of the best markets in the region for the 2017 season.
