Rooster Dirt Farm
Logan and Jess are first generation farmers trying to get back to the land. Their farm is located in Cross Junction, Virginia. They strive to mimic natural patterns and work with nature in a permaculture fashion. Their goal is to one day have a fully self sustaining farm, where humans, plants, animals, and fungi all work together in synergy, the way nature intended. They vow to never use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Rooster Dirt currently specializes in gourmet mushrooms including, Shiitake, Lions Mane and Oyster mushrooms.
Rooster Dirt Farm will be joining the Clarke County Farmers Market this season. Logan and Jess are just one of many new faces that will be at the market. Put the CCFM on your things to do list every Saturday morning from 8-12. Order some hot breakfast, get a cup of coffee, listen to the great music scheduled every week. All of the Vendors are excited for the 2017 season, the market opens on May 6, only 11 days away. See you there.
